I have a lenovo x1. The headphones work, but the speakers stopped working. I've tried to upgrade the driver, but apparently to no effect. A troubleshooting session said a "Generic Audio Driver has been detected. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback.
There's more. I had a bad driver. Per MS instructions. Now I cannot put in a new driver. I downloaded the proper one, and the Lenovo Wizard installs it, or so it says, but the Device manager says there is no driver installed.
I tried all that. I actually downloaded drivers but cannot install them. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Windows Windows 10 Search Community member. OK, what do I do? This thread is locked. Conexant also has an installation wizard, which fails to detect my hardware. Please help.
